The young researchers, equipped with the kit of the small paleontologist or archaeologist, follow a training course based on the game, carrying out activities in the field under the guidance of a real paleontologist<\/strong> or archaeologist<\/strong> and operators specialized in education.<\/p>\n The summer camp takes place in the centre of Sardinia, in Genoni<\/strong>, at the PARC<\/a>, the Civic Museum of the Giara Horse<\/a>, the Geosito“Cava di Duidduru<\/a>” and the Park of the Giara<\/a>.<\/p>\n At PARC the children discover geological eras, learn how to prepare a fossil, work on geological specimens. At GeoSite we apply the theory learned at the paleontological museum and recognize fossils studied at the museum. In the archaeological section of the museum you can learn the techniques of construction of bronze statues, discover the secrets of the ancient Nuragic people and then apply them in the educational laboratory of the museum. Reconstructing the timeline and designing bronzes puts kids in the shoes of the little archaeologist. To conclude the didactic activity as real archaeologists we will carry out the simulation of an excavation and analysis of the stratigraphy.<\/p>\n Theage of participation in the camps is from 7 to 12 years<\/strong>, and on request, from 12 to 14 years. The activities differ in content and complexity of topics. The teaching methodology, for both age groups is based on play, on active and dynamic participation in the workshops, stimulating children’s curiosity and building a lasting knowledge.<\/p>\n Overnight stays and meals for multi-day camps are provided by theAgriturismo and educational farm Cuaddus e Tellas<\/a> in the locality of Priluzza in Genoni.<\/p>\n Summer camps are scheduled for every week from mid-June through September, see below the calendar with scheduled dates.<\/p>\n The minimum number for the realization is 8 children. With a pre-established group of 8 children, the camp can be organized on any day of the week.<\/p>\n The one-day summer camps are always set on Saturdays, but if a group of at least 8 children is created, they can be organized on other days as well.<\/p>\n One-day summer camps are confirmed when the minimum number of 8 registrants is reached. Once the minimum number is reached the campus appears as confirmed.<\/p>\n One-day camps can be held on any day of a three- or six-day camp.<\/strong> Again, places are limited.<\/p>\n The three-day summer camps are always scheduled from Monday to Wednesday<\/strong> and start with a minimum number of 8 children.
