The summer camps of Paleontology, Archeology are ready for the summer of 2022
Fossils and rocks testify how Sardinia is one of the most ancient lands in Europe, the archaeological findings how it is rich in history! An army of researchers must be formed to shed light on our past.

The Little Paleontologist and Little Archaeologist Summer Camp, lasting one, three or six days, is the ideal study holiday for children with a passion for science, fossils, paleontology and archaeology, who want to deepen their passion. An alternative way to study the archaeology and paleontology of Sardinia.
The young researchers, equipped with the kit of the small paleontologist or archaeologist, follow a training course based on the game, carrying out activities in the field under the guidance of a real paleontologist or archaeologist and operators specialized in education.

Where the summer camps take place
The summer camp takes place in the centre of Sardinia, in Genoni, at the PARC, the Civic Museum of the Giara Horse, the Geosito“Cava di Duidduru” and the Park of the Giara.
What to do at the summer camp of the small Paleontologist
At PARC the children discover geological eras, learn how to prepare a fossil, work on geological specimens. At GeoSite we apply the theory learned at the paleontological museum and recognize fossils studied at the museum.
In addition, to conclude the route as real paleontologists we organize an excavation in the countryside in search of fossils.
What to do at the summer camp of the little Archaeologist
In the archaeological section of the museum you can learn the techniques of construction of bronze statues, discover the secrets of the ancient Nuragic people and then apply them in the educational laboratory of the museum. Reconstructing the timeline and designing bronzes puts kids in the shoes of the little archaeologist. To conclude the didactic activity as real archaeologists we will carry out the simulation of an excavation and analysis of the stratigraphy.

My son participated in the summer camp week of paleontology and archaeology, a wonderful experience, has already asked to be able to go again next year, excellent people who make the children feel at ease.

A wonderful adventure
5/5
Our 7 year old had a great time between anthropology lessons, hikes, games and experiments.
It’s a good choice to spend some days in company, with educators able to deal with scientific topics at first sight difficult with great involvement and preparation.
Experience definitely to be repeated, highly recommended.

Excellent alternative to the classic camps
5/5
This is the third time our daughter has participated in summer camps, always with great enthusiasm and satisfaction. The staff is very well prepared both on the topics covered that is management of children. We adults have enjoyed, at the same time, visits to the giara and the local museums. Guides prepared and very nice. Thanks to all… There will definitely be the fourth time 😀
